What is it?
Breast reduction or reduction mammoplasty is the procedure that removes breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to correct breast fall further reducing the size of the mammary gland.
This procedure is performed in women with physical and emotional discomfort associated with excessively large breasts (macromastia).
Duration: 3 hours.
Anesthesia: General.
Hospitalization: Ambulatory.
Side effects: Pain and swelling the first 5 days after the procedure. Temporary sensitivity decrease.
Recovery: 7 days.
Exercise: 4 to 6 weeks.
