Botulinum toxine type A is a cosmetic form of botuline toxine purified and commercialized as an injectable that prevents, reduces or eliminates facial fine lines or wrinkles. Is a non-surgical procedure that smoothes the deep and persistent lines and wrinkles that develop over time.

The toxine blocks the nerve signals to the muscle in which it was injected. Without this signal, the muscle is not able to contract.

This non-invasive procedure is used to smooths or prevent crow’s feet, forehead furrows, frown lines, lip lines and bunny lines; diminish neck bands; improve the appearance of skin dimpling of the chin; lift the corners of the mouth and soften square jaw lines, among other uses.

Side effects are minimal and can include pain, headache, redness and flu-like symptons the first 24 hours after the procedure. In general is a safe technique when done by professionals.

The injections can be combine with other aesthetic procedures to improve the results. The effect of the toxine last from 4 to 6 months.
