Blepharoplasty

What is it?

Also known as eyelid surgery, is a procedure that allows to improve the apparence of the eyelid by removing fat bags and excess skin of the upper and lower eyelids, eliminating the onset of fatigue. It is used to improve the appearaence or to solve functional problems.

Duration: 1-2 hours.
Anesthesia: Local or general, depending on the patient.
Hospitalization: Ambulatory.
Side Effects: Swelling and minor bruising. Excessive tearing and sensitivity to light during the first week.
Recovery: 7-10 days.
Contact lenses: Two weeks or more.
Exercise: 3 weeks.
The disappearance of bruising and swelling: 1-2 weeks
