What is it?
Also known as buccal fat removal, is a small surgical procedure that allows a better appearance of the aesthetics of the face by slimmering the cheeks by the resection of a structure of the facial anatomy known as Bichat fat bags.
The procedure helps highlighting the cheekbones and the jaw.
Duration: from 30 to 45 minutes.
Anesthesia: Local.
Hospitalization: Ambulatory. A soft diet and cold liquids are recommended during the first postoperative day.
SideEffects: Minimal. Sometimes swelling of the cheeks the first 48 hours after the procedure.
Recovery: 24 to 48 hours.
Physical contact: Two weeks.
